Profile

The Awareness Centre works with individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families. We provide NHS Counselling, Low Cost Counselling, Contribution Counselling Service, Private Therapy and we are able to see clients/patients who have private medical health insurance. We also provide a Psychiatric Service and a variety of Complementary Therapies.
We open: Monday to Friday 9am - 10pm,
Saturday 9am - 6pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm

Training, Qualifications & Experience

All our practitioners are qualified, Accredited/Registered, experienced and insured. The approaches we cover: Psychoanalytic, Psychodyamic, Humanistic, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Person Centred, Gestalt, Integrative, Existentialism, Systemic, Psychosexual and Relationship, Coaching. Our practitioners are varied from; Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Coaches, Counselling Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists. They are either MBACP, FDAP, COSRT, AHPP Accredited and/or UKCP, UKRCP, BPS or BABCP Regisitered.

Other areas of counselling we deal with

We offer Addiction aftercare to clients who have completed a 12 - step residential programme. We offer relapse prevention, individual therapy and groups for Eating Disorders, Alcohol and Drug Misuse, Sex/Love Addiction and Codependency. We also provide a psychiatric assessment and medication management for dual diagnosis.
We also offer psychosexual and relationship therapy for: Anorgasmia, Dyspareunia, Erection Problems, IVF, Loss of Sexual Desire and Libido, Miscarriage, Premature Ejaculaton, Retarded Ejaculaton, Sexuality, Sex After Childbirth, Vaginismus.
