As an integrative counsellor, I believe that we all think, feel and react in different ways. Because of this I feel important to work holistically by integrating different theories into my work with my clients to produce a unique therapy adapted to suit your particular needs. My training has covered; CBT, Psychodynamic, Person Centred Counselling, Art and Play Therapy.

Counselling is a unique experience for each individual and can be of benefit in many different ways, depending on your own personal circumstance.
If you decide that I am the right counsellor for you, we will work together with what you bring, with the understanding that we will not simply examine the problem/issue in isolation but as a part of your world, seeing it in the wider context of your life and history.Counselling differs from any other relationship, as it provides interaction that is focused purely on you.

Within our counselling relationship you will be free to express yourself - there are no thoughts or feelings that are 'out of bounds'. Whatever thoughts or feelings arise, we will explore these together and try to understand them.

I am able to offer you either short term or open ended counselling depending on your particular needs.

In addition to counselling in private practice, I also work with children & young people at schools across Suffolk and Essex.

I have also gained invaluable experience working as a Support Worker with learning disabilities and mental health service users throughout Suffolk and North Essex for the last 4 years.

I have a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Certificate from Suffolk County Council.

Initial Assessment (1 hour) £35
Individual Counselling £30 (50 minutes)

Nb ** If cost is an issue, some concessions are available, please do not be afraid to contact me and we can discuss this.

I can offer both daytime or evening appointments.

The initial session is taken up with an assessment,and an explanation of the counselling on offer. Subsequent sessions are usually on a weekly basis and last 50 minutes.

My consulting room is located in central Cavendish on the North Essex/South Suffolk border.Cavendish is on the A1092 within easy access of Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Newmarket, Cambridge, Halstead and Braintree and the surrounding villages. Parking is free.
