About me

Hi my name is Jacqueline,  I hope you'll feel welcome here and find what you’re looking for.

Life can certainly feel very difficult, to the point of being overwhelming at times.  Perhaps that’s what led you to seek counselling today?  Or perhaps you just need a little space and time to try to make sense of your thoughts and feelings?

My aim is to help you to find a better way to understand your problems and those mysteries of our patterns and behaviours that stop us from living a full and contented life, whatever that might look like to you.  I will honour your story, offering empathy and acceptance for whatever that may be.

I am trained in the person centred model but over the years I’ve found that different people respond to different ways of working and I have learnt to be very flexible.  I can offer creative ways of working through to a more CBT guided approach. Either way I will be led by you, in your own uniqueness, and will work holistically putting the ‘whole’ of you at the centre of our work together.

I have around 15 years of experience and work in several settings and with all age groups in private practice, and agency and schools.

Your next step?

Feel free to contact me with any questions or book in for an initial 20 minute session, where we can discuss what has brought you to counselling and how I might be able to help you to see a way through.

About me

I have a passion for the person centred approach and trained in this model after having felt the power of being in counselling myself. I supervise the work of both students and qualified, highly experienced counsellors and as such hold BACP Senior Accredition. I work from my home in Loughton and in other settings in Dagenham, Romford and surrounding areas. I look forward to meeting you.

As a committed member of the BACP I am bound by a code of ethics and in line with this I am fully insured and have regular supervision

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
