Profile
I am a qualified counsellor/ psychotherapist with over ten years experience in an NHS hospital and a Primary Care Trust. I also have worked as a private individual counsellor since 2004. I am an accredited member of British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and registered with UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and comply with their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counseling and Psychotherapy.
I work in a humanistic and existential way for individuals wanting more from their life or help with some difficulty. Counselling is a confidential relationship and lasts for a long as you the client feels it will be beneficial. I have worked effectively with a broad range of client issues.
My practice is non-discriminatory as I work within a framework of equality of opportunity, and have extensive experience of working multiculturally. As a qualified integrative counseling supervisor I also supervise fully qualified and in training counselors.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place in a dedicated room at my home. Before we commence regular meetings we would hold an initial session to discuss your needs and to agree times, and fees. This meeting will allow a space for you to ask any questions you may have.
