Profile

I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I offer Counselling, Psychotherapy to members of the public and offer reduced fees to those on a low income or on state benefits and consultancy/supervision for Counsellors, trainee counsellors and psychotherapists on a one to one basis and in groups. I have trained counsellors in the region for 15 years and currently work at a local university delivering undergrauate and post-graduate counselling and psychotherapy training programmes. I have extensive experience of worked based counselling and EAPs and have supervised counsellors and substance misuse workers for many years.I also can provide online counselling via Skype for those who would prefer this option and also by email. I am a trustee for a large mental health charity and am setting up a counselling service there for service users. I have a wealth of experience with clients with mental health issues and particularly those suffering from anxiety related problems, depression and bipolar diagnoses. I am also a lecturer on one of the few specialist undergraduate and post graduate counsellor training courses which specialise in working with children and younp people. I work with children and teenagers and have a particular interest in working with children with anger management and behavioural difficulties.

Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision - Chester University(ongoing).
Cognitive Behavioural Counselling - Chester University Diploma in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring Level 7 Glyndwr University (Ongoing)

I have worked as a Senior Counsellor in Colleges of Further Education since 1990

Private Practice as a Counsellor 1996 - Ongoing

Supervisor for NHS and in Private Practice - Ongoing.

I currently work as a lecturer on undergrauate and post-graduate programmes in counselling and psychotherapy at a local university.
