Profile
Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a qualified counsellor working in private practice from a peaceful, welcoming environment. I combine compassion, common sense and life experience with a thorough theoretical grounding, and will offer you the space to discuss issues that may be troubling, painful or confusing for you.
Perhaps you feel you can't talk to family and friends, or maybe you've tried, but they may not understand or are too close to help. I will listen to you in an empathic and non-judgemental environment and you will be treated with respect, honesty and in the strictest of confidence.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work according to the BACP Ethical Framework. I have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (Enhanced Disclosure). I am an integrative counsellor, which means my work is underpinned by three major theoretical approaches to counselling and psychotherapy: Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Having worked as a counsellor in the voluntary sector and a local college, I continue to work as a volunteer counsellor for a local voluntary agency. I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of issues; including loss and bereavement, anxiety, relationship problems, low self esteem, depression, panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and eating disorders. It is very important to find a counsellor with whom you feel comfortable and relaxed: please feel free to phone me on 07519807082 or email me at the above address.

Further Information
I offer short-term and long-term counselling, each session lasting 1 hour. Although it is usual for counselling sessions to be on a weekly basis, I recognise this is not always possible for a variety of reasons; because of this I aim to accommodate each client's individual needs by having a more flexible approach.
