About me

Would you like your life to be better in some way?

Do you want to work through your fears & explore with your problems so you can be truly happy?

My name is Vicky Louise Davies, I have been a practising Counsellor since 2005.  I am 100% non-judgemental about any issue you may want to bring.  I am here to support you in any way that I can.

After working voluntarily as a Counsellor for five years with a company, I decided many years ago to set up my own private practice where I've provided face to face Counselling to individuals and couples who are/were experiencing problems or issues whether in the past or present.

I work with each unique client at his/her/their pace and support them in whatever they wish to work through. I have often been told I am not a 'typical Counsellor' (which I have found to be a positive thing), I will not just sit back and ask you "How do you feel about that?", I like to be an active part in helping you.

I consider myself to be warm and caring and believe in providing a safe environment for individuals and couples to explore their feelings and emotions without being judged.

I am an Integrative and C.B.T. trained Counsellor (which basically means focusing on solutions mainly), but I often use other techniques from different models to suit each persons individual needs.

I am also a qualified life coach, so I help people to achieve their goals and set  targets and figure out what it will take to accomplish anything.

Confidentiality is paramount. I work alongside the BACP Code Of Ethics to ensure good practice and I am fully insured and in regular supervision.

I know therapy can be very hard and scary to begin with, so I do empathise with clients as I know how tough it can be to open up to a stranger about personal issues. However, sometimes some people often find it easier talking to a stranger as they are not so closely involved in his/her life.

Ex Client C - "The counselling sessions I had with Vicky ended up meaning more to me than I thought they would. I had been to see different Counsellors before, but found it hard to connect with them, and eventually I resided myself to the belief that I was beyond help. Vicky made me feel safe and never betrayed my trust. She taught me that it was okay to feel whatever I was feeling and this gave me the courage to confront my fears. Counselling helped me to restore my faith in myself, at a time in my life when I didn't even realise how lost I was."

"Vicky is like my personal angel - clever, funny, sweet, respectful, supporting, professional and so much caring".

Whether you are looking for individual Counselling or Couples Counselling, please feel free to arrange a free informal meeting with me to see if I am the person to help you.

I am also a qualified Hypnotherapist & Reiki Therapist - so I work with different people for any issue they are experiencing.

Please feel free to ask me anytime for more information if you would like.  You are welcome to contact me anytime via phone or email or text or WhatsApp - as you can see my phone number.

I mainly work remotely via messaging (live chat sessions),, phone calls or video calls.

However, in certain circumstances, I can do face to face after an initial meeting (as I have safety precautions in place).  So please message me anytime.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
