Profile
I work from premises in Central Lewes and Brighton providing Counselling, Integrative Psychotherapy and Creative Arts Psychotherapy for adults, couples and children in a quiet and safe environment. I work with a range of issues including relationship breakdown, life changes, addiction, depression, issues related to anger, dream work, bereavement and loss, low self esteem, work and retirerment issues, family issues, spirituality, childhood trauma, lonliness and isolation . I also work long term with Soul and Transpersonal issues. After an initial assessment if we want to work together, we usually commit to 6 further sessions and then take it from there.
With children and young people I usually contract for 6 to 10 sessions working with the arts in our sessions to help a child make sense of their world. I will meet for an initial session with parents and the child/young person to assess how I can be most effective in helping the child/young person to move through their concerns. I work with all issues relating to children and young people including general and specific anxiety, bullying, bereavement and loss, family seperation, school attendance, adolescent angst and child protection issues.
I also work with parents who are experiencing difficulties in understanding their child's behaviour.
With couples I offer a creative solution to communcation breakdown by working with a sandtray and objects to help gain a new and different perspective of your issues.
As Lewes is nestled in the South Downs I also offer Eco Therapy (walking and talking in nature with mindfulness) as an alternative to indoor sessions.
I am available for Supervision sessions where I specialise in creative techniques with adults and imaginative play with children.
I am CRB checked.
