Profile

People come to psychotherapy for many reasons. There may be a specific personal crisis or more subtle issues. Perhaps feeling blocked, a sense of unease, or unhappiness, that life is not as we want it to be, or a longing to explore our spirituality and way of being in the world.

Therapy is conducted in and atmosphere of warmth and respect and a willingness to welcome all that you bring.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I had over 30 years professional experience of working with individuals and families with a variety of emotional and relationship problems as a qualified social worker.

I am registered with the UKCP and a member of the BACP.

I am an accredited graduate of the Four Year Professional Training in Core Process Psychotherapy course run by the Karuna Insitute www.karuna-insitute.co.uk .

I have a special interest and expertise in issues relating to grief and loss and those of identity, belonging and the trauma of early separation. I am also interested in working with the existential and psychospiritual and more subtle aspects of being human. I use mindfulness to bring awareness to patterns which are no longer useful.

Fees

My fee is £40 for a full hour of therapy. I have some places at a reduced fee in cases of hardship.

I offer the first meeting free of charge. this is an opportunity to help you decide whether you would feel at ease working with me and to find out about the sort of work we would be doing.
