Profile

Hi. I am Counselling Psychotherapist based in Wells working with individuals and couples.

I also have a particular interest in working with men in mid-life

Mid Life for me means from 35 to 55 when the pressures on men are arguably the toughest and often unheard. 

As men are lives are in transition and many issues emerge that include:Relationships, sex, work based stress, redundancy, parents and children , loss, health anxiety and money

From my own experience I know that contacting a counsellor for the first time can be a very big step. As a man I had a particular sense that counselling wouldn't be for me, that I should be able to sort things out myself and that it wouldn't help - my only regret is that I didn't explore counselling sooner.

I can work either short or long term with you. Short term in a very solution focussed way maybe with a specific issue or longer term dealing with more complex issues.

My background before counselling was in the corporate world, having my own business and as a HR Director. I have worked as a Occupational Health Counsellor and now teach counselling to Diploma students as well as seeing clients privately.
