My aim is to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere to enable you to identify and understand areas in your life that are causing you difficulty and that are keeping you stuck and unable to move forward in your life.I am particularly interested in working with social anxiety and self esteem issues.

Although the keys to healing are found in ourselves, sometimes it is hard to search for these alone.We all need to talk, we need a place to talk in, we all need someone to talk to. My role is to encourage reflection and promote awareness of your internal experiencing through personal develpoment ,emotional growth and acceptance of self and others enabling you to regain control.

Experience of traumatic events and loss can effect us all profoundly in different forms. Being able to share your experience in a confidential space is vital for healing.

I have worked in a variety of settings and have worked in a women's centre for the last seven years where i gained a broad range of experience working with many issues particularly depression low self esteem and relationship problems and domestic abuse. I have had my own private practice for the last six years.I also run anger and stress management courses and specialize in relaxation using guided imagery and hypnotherapy techniques. I regularly attend courses to update my knowledge and review research.

Making the decision to come for counselling can be difficult and i encourage people to talk it over with me, or if they are more comfortable e-mailing so we can decide together if it is what you are looking for, and more importantly if you feel you can work with me.This is why i offer the initial consultation for £10.

I am an integrative psychotherapist and I work with a variety of techniques depending on the individual and their needs.These can include CBT, transactional Analysis and working relationally.I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Hypnotherapy,and integrate guided imagery and relaxation methods in my work.
