I am a fully accredited and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor based in Matlock, Derbyshire. I offer short or long-term, face to face counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

BA (Hons) Human Communication, University of Manchester PGCE Primary, Manchester Metropolitan University
PG Diploma Gestalt Psychotherapy
MSc Gestalt Psychotherapy, Sherwood Pychotherapy Institute, Nottingham /Derby University.
I have been in private practice, offering counselling and psychotherapy since 1999 (in Nottingham and more recently in Derbyshire).
I have been fully accredited and registered with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) since 2002.
I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Fees

My fee is £45 per session (50 minutes). This is negotiable if you are committed to working with me but cannot afford this because of unemployment, low wages etc..

Further Information

My expertise lies in helping you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, in a way which feels safe and helpful to you. You may find yourself becoming aware of and the ways in which you are keeping yourself 'stuck' and facing difficult or painful feelings.

Doing this kind of work can be challenging as well as life enhancing and exciting. Old patterns can be let go of to make way for new ways of being, that enable you to connect with yourself, others and the world around you in a more fulfilling way.
This can be done over a short period of time if you have a particular difficulty or area you would like to focus on, or we can work together for as long as it takes for you to get to where you want to be.
