Are you depressed, angry, and suffering with anxiety and panic attacks and wondering how you can carry on? Do you have relationship issues or have you been bereaved? Maybe you are feeling low and cannot fully understand why?
I offer a supportive, confidential, caring and professional counselling service. Where else in your life can you be listened to unconditionally and without judgement? This may be the time for you to help yourself and invest in your future health. At this time of recession we can tend to put our emotional needs last, but if we are depressed and unable to cope it affects all areas of our lives.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I have a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. I have worked and trained with Cruse Bereavement and also with CARA (Centre for action on Rape and Abuse). I work in private practice and for an organisation seeing GP referrals on the government initiative IAPT (Increased Access to Psychological Therapies)
I am a Creative Play therapist, working with Young children and Teenagers.
I have experience with Asperger Syndrome and autism having worked with young teenagers in a Therapeutic School with Special Needs.
I am also a Counsellor with LINK Adoption Agency that is registered to provide adoption placement and support services. (under the umbrella of Barnardo's)
I have completed training in REWIND for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder by Dr.David Muss, Director of PTSD Unit, BMI Birmingham Hospital.
I am fully insured and have regular supervision and ongoing professional development.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
I am a Counsellor with LINK Adoption Services, London East and South East, under the umbrella of Barnardo's. It is a requirement of the 2005 Adoption Support Agency Regulations that work undertaken by any counsellor, where the focus is adoption, must be through an Adoption agency. Any involvement with adoption whether it is the adopter, adoptee, or birth grandparents etc. I would be able to help.
I have undergone further training in Attachment Focused Counselling for Families. (A family may be struggling to understand a child's behaviour they have adopted).
I also offer counselling for families who are about to adopt.

Fees
£40 - £50 a session. (Negotiable)
Couple Counselling £55 a session
Successful therapy is an investment in your future helping you work out your problems in a safe and confidential environment. You will be offered an initial session to enable you to decide if counselling is right for you and to ensure that you are happy to work with me. It is important to choose the right counsellor for you.
