Finding ourselves bewildered, angry, afraid or out of control because of what is happening in our lives can feel like a lonely and desparate place to be. 

Talking to someone who will understand your difficulties, without judging or criticising, often helps, by giving you space and time to offload and explore what is causing your distress.

I am very experienced in working with people who have a wide range of problems and issues. Our work together may be short term (3 to 6 sessions) or longer, depending on what you feel you need.

I offer a free initial appointment, when we can assess if we feel we could work together effectively.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Since 1991 I have had a Diploma in Professional Counselling and a foundation certificate in Family Therapy since 2002, and have done counselling work for the last 20 years, both with self-referred clients, and with those referred by health services, GPs and Employee Assistance Programmes.

I have also tutored on counselling courses at Certificate and Diploma levels, and supervised students on those courses.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and a UKRCP registered Independent Counsellor working within their framework for ethics and confidentiality.
