Profile
I am a specialist in Eating Disorders (Master Practitioner/Qualified Counsellor. I work as an independent within my private practice. I work with clients who have varying degrees of eating distress eg. anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and obesity.
My background is one of nursing with over 35 years experience of working in the general and mental health profession. My work history has included working with adults who have profound physical disabilities, also for eight years as a hospice nurse dealing with the sensitive issues of loss and bereavement.
My interest in Eating Disorders arose from my own personal struggle many years ago. Together with my life and working experience, I now feel privileged to work in this area of unmet need.
As a counsellor, I believe in also treating the underlying conflicts that breed symptoms of distress.
Please feel free to contact me for a confidential assessment in a safe and comfortable setting.
