Profile
I am a person centred counsellor and have an advanced certificate in CBT. (cognitive behaviour therapy) I also practice TA (transactual analysis), EFT (Emotinal freedom technique) my ongoing traing is in NLP (neuro lingustic progamming).
I am passionate about supporting you to change your life.
I have had extensive training for the past five years working as a counsellor in the private sector, for the NHS, as a volunteer for charities and other orgnizations for 20 years, My experience has affirmed that with the right conditions, many struggles, setbacks or challenges can be resolved through therapy and there is no need to keep on struggling.
Making the decision to see a counsellor can be difficult even scary, which is why during the first session is an opportunity to lay aside these fears.
The therapy I offer, brings a clear yet sensitive perspective to my clients, I believe that we all can change and we hold the answers deep within our unconscious minds.
I feel it is important to pay attention to my clients strengths and weaknesses as I value the whole person.
I intend to support my clients without prejudice in a safe and confidential way. I recognise that counselling can release powerful emotions and I will always take my duty of care very seriously.
