I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I have worked as a therapist and group therapy facilitator for many years. I am able to see clients in the evening and day time. I work with clients struggling with bereavement, depression, addiction and trauma difficulties as well as many other issues.
I understand that looking for support can be a courageous and often anxiety provoking process. I try to work in a way that can ease this, and meets someone where they are at in life. This can be for short, medium or long term work. I believe within each of us we have our own answer, which has the potential to be uncovered through working together. This holistic approach is unique to each individual and it can work on many levels, be it through dreams, transforming problematic patterns, developing a clearer sense of self and helping one connect on a deeper level to oneself, the world and others around us. As we work on our inner world, our outer world also changes for the better.
This integrative approach includes four fundamental theoretical models, they are person centred, psycho-dynamic, gestalt and sensorimotor psychotherapy. The work is always informed by the client and is tailored to each individual; to suit the client's need is fundamental.
My training and experience in these fields are held within an attitude that sees the potential in life, that is part of a larger journey which has a personal emphasis on self growth and a movement towards ones full potential.
All sessions are confidential and are held in a safe and supportive space.
I am a member of the UKCP and adhere to their code of ethics. For more information visit www.psychotherapy.org.uk
