Hi, my name is Marian, counsellor and owner of Nu Journeys Counselling which provides a counselling service for couples, for adults with stress and adults with depression. I am an integrative counsellor which means I use various approaches depending upon the needs of the individual. I believe that the key is to create a therapeutic relationship with each and every client and to work in a way that most benefits your needs. I provide a space for individuals and couples to explore their feelings without judgement and to discuss what is impacting upon your lives and then together, we can hopefully find solutions. I also provide supervision to counsellors.
I have been a counsellor since 2009. I have also facilitated personal development groups and workshops hope to do so again in the future. I believe that with support, people have the inner strength to overcome any difficulty in life. I am passionate about most things including personal development, meditation and positive thinking and this is reflected in all areas of my life. My specialist areas are couples counselling, adults with depression and adults with stress including work-related stress.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I have a certificate of proficiency and working towards accreditation.
