About me

I am of South Indian origin, however I have grown up in the UK most of my life and so English is my first language. I have experienced much confusion in my life because of the apparent conflict between the values of my heritage and those which I have grown up with in British society. Due to my personal challenges, I take a careful and considered approach in understanding your cultural frame of reference and work respectfully with it.

I work mainly within the humanistic school of transactional analysis (TA) and am a fully certified Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist (CTA).

I hold an MSc and Diploma in TA and have over 25 years of practical experience. I also hold a BSc with honours in Cognitive Science and am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and the Metanoia Institute.

I have worked a number of years at the Priory and am currently running groups at the Cardinal Clinic. I have over 25 years of clinical experience working in Adult mental health in psychiatric settings, NHS IAPT and within a private setting.

I have a strong passion for supporting people to embrace their vulnerabilities and aspirational outcomes.

I work with the following issues:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Panic attacks
  • Post traumatic stress syndrome
  • Stress (general, work and family)
  • Eating disorders and weight management
  • Sexual identity conflict
  • Relationship issues
  • Low self esteem
  • Cultural identity issues
  • Addiction drugs and alcohol

Training, qualifications & experience

  • BSc Hons Cognitive Science (British Psychological Society accredited)
  • MSc and Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy
  • CTA - Certified Transactional Analyst

Over 20 years experience in practice. Specialising in Post Traumatic Stress and internal cultural conflict. I also offer EMDR sessions.
