Profile

I have over 10 years' experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist in GP surgeries, the voluntary sector and private practice, working with a wide range of people on a wide range of issues. My aim is to work with each person to help them make sense of the difficulties they may be facing. Psychoanalytic therapies help develop insight into why we do things as we do, leading to increased self-awareness, enabling us to live more creatively in the present and find more effective ways of dealing with the challenges of today. I work two miles outside Fordingbridge on the borders of Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire and I also spend part of the week working in Southampton

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I am registered as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and a member of The Guild of Psychotherapists and BACP. My initial training was in psychodynamic counselling with the Wessex Counselling Service. I have also taught counselling at diploma level.
