Profile

Hello and welcome to my counselling site. I work in comfortable rooms at Worting House, Basingtoke, Hampshire and the Waterfield Gp practice in Bracknell, Berkshire, convenient for the Surrey/Hants/Berkshire borders.

I started my counsellor training when I was practicing as a nurse, recognising a need for psychological as well as physical care for my patients. I now work exclusively as a counsellor in private practice, seeing clients for a wide variety of issues and working with them as individuals to find a find a way forward.

Often clients sense they need someone outside of their family and social network to talk through their problems with, as this allows more freedom for them to say how they are feeling than is often possible within close relationships. Counselling offers a safe and confidential environment to explore whatever may be troubling you and I will work alongside you to help you make sense of how you are feeling.

I see individuals for long or short-term therapy; your individual needs can be explored in the first session. I work mainly from a person-centred approach, being alongside you in a supportive and non-judgemental way as you explore your issues. Please feel free to email/telephone me if you have any questions about the service that I offer.
