Profile
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals or couples on a short or long-term basis.
This might involve providing you with some short-term support around symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression at a time when you need some help getting through a difficult phase in your life.
However, sometimes people way wish to explore deeper issues and meaning, and look at their patterns and habits of thinking, feeling and behaviour.
I can also offers in-depth coaching or workplace supervision which can be face-to-face, by phone or by email - helping people become more successful and effective in their work lives. Coaching and supervision for managers/leaders can support professional effectiveness and improve team leadership and people management.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I am a trained psychotherapist with a MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute in London and a Diploma in Counselling Principles and Practice from Oxford Brookes, University (1997). I also have Relate training, and so can offer particular support for couples and to individuals with relationship issues.
I am registered with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy) and I'm a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have full Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance, and. as with all therapists, my counselling and psychotherapy work is professionally supervised.
I have particular experience working as a counsellor in workplace settings, and as a consultant working with large organisations in setting up Employee Assistance and Wellbeing programmes.

Further Information
When you come for your first session, it is a chance to meet and make sure that I am the right person for you to work with. The most important aspect of any therapy or counselling is the relationship between your therapist and yourself - so getting this right early on is crucial. In this first session I also answer any questions you have.
I am flexible regarding appointments - there is usually a morning, afternoon or evening slot available within a week or two of you contacting me. Most of my clients work with me me on a weekly basis, but some come every fortnight - particularly if they have been coming for some time.
