Profile
Are you reading this because you want to make some changes in your life? I am a fully qualified, experienced, integrative counsellor. My approach is to listen carefully, in a non-judgemental and respectful way, to your thoughts and feelings about the fears, problems or anxieties that are making life difficult for you.
I believe that by sensitively exploring your experiences of life I can help you achieve a greater understanding of yourself. With this knowledge I believe positive change can take place.
I have more than seven years experience of working with individuals on a one to one basis. This has been both long-term and short-term therapy. I have been trained to incorporate psychodynamic, person centred and CBT(cognitive behavioural therapy) models in my work. Issues I have worked with include emotional, sexual and physical abuse, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement, work issues including redundancy and bullying, relationship issues, gender issues, depression, self esteem and confidence issues, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), stress, IVF, eating disorders. These are just some examples. You are an individual and I will listen to whatever your concerns may be.
If you would like to make an appointment to see me, please send me an email or leave a message on my voicemail. I will be the only one who will answer this message whichever option you choose.
After our initial contact, we will arrange to have our first session. This session is very important for both of us. It will allow you to meet me and get a feel of what counselling is about, decide whether you would feel comfortable working with me. I will ask you to share some information about yourself to give me some understanding of who you are and to be sure I am the right counsellor for you.
Generally, my session times are weekly, on the same day at the same time but with some flexibility.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if there is anything else you wish to know
