Counsellor therapist in Derby.
Experienced counselling Practitioner and a Member of the BACP. Im based in Littleover village. An Example of the issues some people bring to counselling are: Anger management, relationship issues, bereavement, post traumatic stress, depression, child related issues, abuse, self esteem, anxiety stress etc..... These are just examples and you may have something different you want to discuss. .

WHAT HAPPENS IN COUNSELLING?
Counselling is about it being the clients time and space to explore issues in a safe, constuctive and confidential environment.
As everyone is unique, I integrate different methods of counselling to give clients a creative space to acknowledge their issues. Some clients like to talk, some like to use art materials, some like to explore their past to discover the underlying issues and some clients like to work on future goals.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
Each session is 50 minutes long. The initial session is 1 hour

WHERE ARE YOU?
Derby Practice
I have a private practice based in queens drive Littleover, near the A38 and the Royal Hospital and 2 mins walk from the village shopping centre.
Belper Practice
I have a private practice based in shaw lane Milford on the A6 between Duffield and Belper across the road from Hopping mill meadow.

CAR PARKING SPACE?
At my practice in Littleover there is space to park your car on the drive.
In milford there is free street parking.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GET THERE.
When arriving at my private practice all you need to do is knock on the door and you will be showed straight into the session where we may discuss what has brought you to counselling, and run through a little on how I work. There is currently NO waiting area so although I encourage punctuality for each session please do not attend early.

Fees

INITIAL SESSION £40.00 and lasts 1 hour. This session is usually to establish if counselling is the approriate pathway for you and to establish our future work together.

ONGOING SESSIONS £40.00, Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly at the same time and same day with some flexibility around this.

NEED TO CHANGE DATES AND TIMES? If you can give suitable notice of this, if possible, we can rearrange the next session.

HOW TO PAY? All payments for sessions are received at the beggining of each session a week in advance. At present sessions can be paid by cash or cheque.

MISSED SESSIONS? All missed sessions are payable.
