If you are seeking some space and time to work through your thoughts and feelings, I offer an empathic service focused on you and your specific needs.
In quiet surroundings in my home, we explore the feelings or circumstances that have brought you to counselling. You may have a specific difficulty, or suffer generally from low mood, anxiety or stress. As we reflect on your thoughts and emotions, things become clearer and new options for tackling your situation present themselves. This leaves you feeling more empowered and helps you to see life from another perspective.
We work in blocks of two - three sessions, so you remain very much in control of how long your counselling lasts. You are also welcome to have a break from counselling to reflect, and come back for more sessions if and when you feel it is right for you.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
Particularly experienced in working with depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, relationship and work issues, I have an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, specialising in Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Person Centred Therapy. I also have a good working knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Time Limited Therapy, and integrate all these techniques, in order to find the best way of working with you.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and an associate member of the UK Association of Humanistic Psychological Practitioners and abide by thier guidelines for ethical practice.

Fees
I have a sliding scale of fees from £30 to £40 per session with a £15 concession for the unwaged.
