About me

I offer short-term, confidential, supportive psychotherapy in a calm and peaceful setting to individuals and couples. As a psychotherapist I aim at treating the whole person - of making contact with your past and developing ways to respond in the future. I believe psychotherapy can provide the thread that runs through and makes sense of all the disparate elements of your life making it possible to live fully in the present moment.

I am

  • an integrative counsellor and
  • psychoanalytic psychotherapist

My interests include applying psychotherapy across cultures.  My MSc degree in psychoanalytic psychotherapy consisted of cultural studies and anthropology at University College London/Nafsiyat.

With over 24 years experience, a myriad of issues have brought people to my therapy room, situated at the back of my garden, providing an independent, private and calm space.  These have included

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • bereavement
  • anger issues
  • panic attacks
  • relationship problems
  • family issues and
  • feelings of being stuck and without energy or motivation.

Accredited with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists I follow their code of ethics.  I am also a Member  of The Feberation of Independent Psychotherapists.  I helped found the Surrey Counselling and Psychotherapy Initiative.

Further information

You may have had a crisis or just feel flat and stuck in a rut. You may feel depressed.   You may feel angry all the time. Or anxious. One of the common results of therapy can be to make sense of your thoughts and behavior.  It can enable you to make changes and take charge of your life.

I work from KT10 and am near to Hinchley Wood and Esher railway stations.
