At times in your life you can feel overwhelmed by your anxieties and problems.  It can be difficult talking about them even with people who love and care about you. Sometimes you don't know where to go for help.  I am here to offer you support and to respond to you honestly, warmly and without judgment in a safe, confidential space.

A qualified and professional counsellor, I offer short and long term personal and relationship counselling from comfortable private rooms in Tavistock and Plymouth. 

I believe a warm and trusting relationship to be the most important aspect of counselling.  Within this relationship I want you to feel valued and find the right way forward for yourself.  I passionately believe that counselling can transform peoples lives.

As an integrative counsellor I have experience and training in using a wide range of well known counselling approaches.   From these I can create a tailor made approach which best suits you so that the experience feels 'right' for you. 

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I am originally form the Midlands, but for many years I have worked in hospitals and doctors surgeries in Plymouth, Yelverton, Okehampton and the South Hams. Consequently I have a wealth of experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. 

Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling (BACP accredited) 2009
TA (Transactional Analysis) 101 Certificate (2007)
Level II Certificate in Counselling Skills (2006)

I believe in ongoing professional development and recently attended courses include those on CBT, self-injury and self-harm, mindfulness, bereavement and loss, anger rage and relationship, domestic violence, abuse, treatment resistant depression, and post traumatic stress disorder.

The introductory session is used to explore working together as it is really important that you feel comfortable with me. If you wish to continue the rate for 60 minutes is:
