Profile
Hello I'm Keeley. Welcome to my profile. I offer a confidential Counselling service. The type of Counselling I provide is 'person centred'. This means I won't judge you or tell you what to do. You can talk to me about anything at all that is on your mind or is preventing you living your life the way you would choose to. Counselling is a way of listening and supporting you to work through your situation. My aim is to accept you & to understand you, enabling us to enter into a therapeutic alliance that is both genuine and real.
An Accredited member of the National Counselling Society. One of the countries leading professional organizations for the accreditation of counsellors.
I specialize in dealing with the following issues: depression, anxiety, stress/anger management, bereavement, coping with traumatic events, relationship difficulties, sexuality, social problems, career/work stress, difficulties at work, harassment, physical illness/disability, financial difficulties, coping/adjusting with change and general personal development.
I am skilled and trained in a variety of counselling methods therefore I am able to work with a range of problems. This means that the counselling experience is intended to be wider and the level of client satisfaction higher.
I have worked as a Parent Support Advisor, Behaviour Support Manager and for many years I supported children in a care home setting. For the last four years I have been counselling people via my own private practice and this is complemented by working full time as a drug and alcohol practitioner.
I can provide either short-term 'fixed-focus' work or more long-term therapy as required. I tailor my approach to the needs of each individual. I aim to provide the right number of sessions. I can arrange breaks from sessions, so clients can stop for a while, and then come back to reconnect with their counselling at a later date.
