Profile

The today’s world we live in, life is full of up and downs. We are either too busy working, or busy going round in circles not achieving any satisfaction deserve. As such, it is difficult to make sense of what is going on within us and find ourselves feeling depressed, anxious or finding life less meaningful.

I hereby introduce myself as a professional counsellor, specializing in different counselling approaches such as Person Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Brief Focused Solution Therapy. Other services that I provide are personal life issues management or general life coaching. I hold full membership with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

I work in a secure and comfortable location in the centre of Preston dealing with Clients on an individual basis, couples or groups of up to 12 people. My modes of counselling are Face to Face, Online / E-mail or by Telephone. I expect that these services will inspire and be of benefit to Clients who would like to work with me. I deal with different presenting problems from ages between 18 to 65 years plus. I am happy to make alternative arrangements where this is necessary.

I trained and gained qualifications from the prestigious University of Central Lancashire in Preston. My qualifications are;
Counselling Skills - June 2002

Graduate Diploma- June 2005
Certificate of Attendance in Coaching with Coaching Academy- May 2009
Telephone Counselling Certificate, June- 2009

I now work partly in the Civil Service and in Private Practice. I have also worked in different enviroments such as Domestic Violence Forum, Victims Support. Coming from a different back ground and culture, I am fortunate to be working diverseley with clients from all different back grounds giving me a further understanding of different presenting problems.This enables me to be able to empathise and help my Clients understand what is going in their own world of reference.

Further Information

Apart from English, I also speak Central African languages i.e from Zambia- Nyanja and Bemba, Malawi- Chi-Chewa, Zimbabwe -Ndebele South-Africa -Zulu and fully understand Shona. Clients wishing to converse in the above languages but are unable to travel due to geograhical reasons can communicate with me via e-mail or telephone.

Agony Aunt services are also available via e-mail for those that need to sort out a problem without necesarily needing counselling.
