Profile

With 16 years experience as a Counsellor, I bring a wide range of theoretical and practical understanding to my work, offering a variety of approaches to help you manage your concerns. I hold Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Supervisor status with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am a Registered Member of The United Kingdom Register of Counsellors/ Psychotherapists (UKRCP).

People come to counselling for many reasons. Difficulties in the present day or events from the past may be affecting your life. You may feel dissatisfied with life, worried about the future, wanting to make some changes but not know where to begin, feeling stuck, confused or overwhelmed. You may have a difficult decision to make or are living with a dilemma. Being in some sorts of relationships can be difficult and counselling can help to make them easier and often, more rewarding. Maybe your concerns feel more serious than this and you are experiencing depression, anxiety or living with the consequences of abuse or trauma. Counselling can help you to see things more clearly or perhaps from a different viewpoint; to explore options, make your own choices and changes that feel achievable to you.

My Practice is at Knaphill.  I work in a purpose-built therapy room in a woodland setting. I accept referrals from individuals, employers, Counsellors, GPs, Social Workers, Human Resource Managers, Self-Help groups and other interested organisations. I have worked as Editor for Counselling News and have written articles for various counselling and psychotherapy publications.
