Profile

I offer a professional service within which I use an eclectic approach. This enables me to offer my clients individualistic counselling specific to their needs. (Person Centred - Transactional Analysis - CBT - Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy)
I work primarily out of Tunbridge Wells, but both locations have comfortable relaxing rooms for therapy.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I trained as a Humanistic Counsellor (Diploma in Humanistic Counselling) and am a member of the BACP, whose ethical framework is a foundation for my work.
I have gained experience both in the NHS and private healthcare settings and have worked in an addiction unit, (using the Minnesota 12 step approach). I have worked with couples, children and adolescents in the Foster Care system, and individuals.
I currently work in a private psychiatric hospital where I have worked with a diverse client group giving me a wealth of experience.

Fees start at £50 but concessions can be available in some cases.

Further Information

The first session is mainly taken up with an assessment and establishing the working agreement between the counsellor and client. This sets the working boundaries and the clients' right to confidentiality. The number of sessions and payment terms are also agreed at this point. Sessions will only proceed if the client is satisfied with my service as it is important to feel comfortable with your counsellor/therapist. There is no obligation to continue beyond this stage. All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence according to the BACP Ethical Framework.
