Troubled? Anxious? Is there a crisis in your life? Would you like to discuss what is troubling you in a comfortable and confidential environment with a qualified, experienced and empathetic counsellor? I have spent my entire working life in a variety of caring roles and have gained a deep understanding of the challenges life throws up. I feel passionate about my work as a therapist and genuinely believe and have seen that counselling can help change people's lives.
Counselling for Adults
I am a counsellor who works with people in difficult and crisis situations. I have considerable experience of helping clients with a variety of concerns including relationship issues, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, family issues, anxiety and depression. My aim is to provide a safe and caring environment in which to explore the difficulties you are experiencing; to enable self understanding and together, work towards finding solutions and fulfillment in your life.
I specialise in working with clients who have experienced abusive relationships.
Counselling for Children and Adolescents
Children can be affected by issues such as bereavement, bullying, divorce, abuse and many more problems which can be hard for them to cope with. Counselling gives them an opportunity to increase their confidence, feel understood and contemplate their feelings, relationships and any difficulties they may be facing.
Working with younger children I endeavour to create a safe environment through non-directive therapy. This emphasises the importance of play as a healing process and it is a way of giving the child an opportunity to ‘play out’ their feelings and problems.
Please look at my website for more information. You can call or email me to discuss how we can work together or make an appointment for us to meet.
