Profile

I have 20 years experience as a counsellor, hypnotherapist and psychotherapist helping individuals and couples. I am also an accredited EMDR practitioner. My approach is compassionate, holistic and pragmatic, with a cultural sensitivity enhanced through living abroad, and travelling extensively.

My approach to private practice is flexible. Whether you are looking for a few sessions in order to process a particular issue, or seeking longer term psychotherapy, we could discuss your therapy goals in order to decide upon the most appropriate way forward. After an initial in-person consultation, it could be possible to arrange telephone or Skype sessions if you live out of town.

My work as a therapist has been varied, and includes: private practice activities, carrying out employee assistance counselling, working with post traumatic stress disorder and complex psychological conditions in an NHS Mental Health Trust, and working in university counselling services in the UK and Canada.

I have experience as a clinical supervisor, as well as developing and providing a wide range of workshops and group programs.
