Profile
Seeking professional help when faced with a personnel dilemma can be quite overwhelming. I offer clients a safe and confidential space to openly discuss the problems they are faced with, without being judged or criticized.
As a a qualified counsellor, in person centred theory and integrative counselling, I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), Therefore, I sometimes integrate other theories into my counselling practice, such as RET (Rational Emotive Therapy) which is a cognitive behaviour approach.
As a private practitioner, I see clients face to face in my therapy room, based behind the House of Elliott in Grenoside, Sheffield, South Yorkshire. I also offer telephone counselling.
Clients who have sought my services have come to me with all sorts of issues, some of which include, abuse, bereavement/loss, confidence issues, domestic violence, eating disorders, divorce or separation, and family issues to name a few.
In addition to offering counselling, I am also a qualified Life Coach, Stress Management Trainer and I also teach relaxation therapy and am qualified in USUI Reiki 1 and Reiki II spiritual healing.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
BSc Therapeutic Counselling
ABC Level 4 Diploma in Person Centred Skills & Theory
Diploma in Stress Management Training.
Diploma in Life Coaching
USUI First Degree & Second Degree Reiki Healing
People seeking counselling therapy simply want a safe place to be heard and be given the opportunity to offload their problems without being judged or criticized. Others, prefer to be challenged and I often find that introducing RET (Rational Emotive Therapy), helps them to tackle limiting beliefs and behaviour patterns, which have stopped them from being able to communicate more effectively, and build successful relationships.
