Sarah Simpson (Jackson) BA BSc (Hons) Psych. HG.DIP.P. MHGI
I am a qualified and registered Human Givens psychotherapist currently running a busy private practice covering all of Cornwall and based at The Duchy Hospital, Truro. I am DBS (CRB) checked and so welcome the opportunity to work with children and in the respective schools too. I am also happy to work with the GO surgeries as required. Whilst most of my clinics are on a face to face basis, I am happy to offer telephone therapy which is obviously more convenient for some.
The therapy I offer combines proven therapeutic techniques, based on the recent neuro-science findings, to relieve emotional distress and help people find solutions as quickly as possible. I must stress that all appointments are only made on an 'as need to' basis, this may mean one off appointments, weekly appointments or sporadic appointments to meet specific needs.
The emotional health conditions I specialise in are;
- General Anxiety and associated conditions:
- Panic Attacks
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Eating disorders
- Divorce and relationship problems, including children and contact arrangements
- Self-esteem and self confidence
- Rewind Technique
I have also worked as a Family Consultant for individuals and regional lawyers. I helped both adults and children through the difficult transition of divorce and with all aspects of relationship issues and emotional wellbeing. Please request a free Factfile - 'Divorce and Emotional Wellbeing' at: email@example.com
If you would like to know any more about how I can help or would like any further information regarding my services please contact me direct via the email address above or on 07967 129137, If I am unable to take your call, please leave a message, suggesting the best time for me to call you back.
I am able to see people at my clinic or at GP surgeries if it is more convenient and when appropriate I can also offer telephone consultations.
I offer therapy via telephone consultations as some people find this more convenient and more economical too. This service is ideal for those who have limited time or accessibility and can be provided in 30 or 60 minute appointments.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BA and a BSc first class Honours in Psychology. I also have an Advanced Practitioner Diploma in Psychotherapy and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Givens Psychotherapy, for which I am a registered practitioner (MHGI) - www.hgi.org.uk. In addition I have trained extensively and gained experience in dealing with all aspects of trauma (PTSD), phobias and OCD.
I have gained considerable experience from working with children and adolescents and work closely with parents, schools and universities to support and provide minimal intervention for vulnerable age groups
I currently run a successful private practice offering services to both individuals, schools and companies. I am based in a clinic at The Duchy Hospital, Truro, however I can also travel to outside this area.
My experience has been gained through individual work and with working along side professional multi-disciplinary teams of specialists. My current clinic has been largely established through referrals and word of mouth recommendations. This has involved working with all ages from the very young to the more elderly, incorporating all conditions of emotional health.
My career has been supported by in-depth and innovative psychological research for government and NHS driven projects, with training in areas as far field as EEG brain activity measure and analysis.
During my work within the hospital I addressed the behavioural and cognitive aspects of clients behaviour. A large part of my role was to provide emotional and therapeutic support to relatives and partners.
I hold approved professional indemnity insurance and have been DBS CRB checked and authorised.
I am a registered member of Human Givens, Institute and the European Institute of Studies.
