I am an experienced, professionally qualified and registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist. I have experience in working with individuals and with couples, for a shorter or time-limited period, as well as long term or open ended, and have worked with late teens, mid life and older adults age ranges.
The work can focus on a variety of issues to include, but not only, anxiety, relationship issues, generalised anxiety disorder, depression, or depression alternating with euphoria and other conditions or mental issues.
My approach is flexible, keeping in mind each individual and their reasons for coming to therapy. Most of us experience emotional problems during our life. Some may persist or stay present with us for longer and interfere in our life. I aim to facilitate understanding and inner growth.
I offer an initial consultation to clarify a little how best to proceed or you may be looking for more regular sessions. During these we can begin to look at those things that matter to you. The initial consultation is when we'll have the opportunity to meet and to explore what brings you to psychotherapy. The purpose of the session/s is to assess your needs, find out whether psychotherapy might be helpful to you.
I work in English and have an understanding of Portuguese or French for those who may prefer to speak these.
Clients can self refer or be referred by their GP or Insurance providers to include BUPA, Groupma and further details can be found on my website.
Portuguese spoken. Talvez tenha preferencia de falar em Portugue^s. Este processo de psicoterapia dar-lhe-á a oportunidade de falar com um professional, em confidencia total e sem julgamento. Pode contactar-me por telefone ou email.
