Profile

Hello there.
My name is Judith & I work as a counsellor and coach. My business is called 'Thriving Ivy'. I work with individuals, couples & organisations all around the country; face to face; by phone and by e mail - I love my job!

In an earlier career,I worked in the commercial world and so have first hand experience of how the stresses and strains of work can affect your relationships; health and well being.

I work with individuals, couples and parent/child relationships as well as companies providing confidential counselling for employees.

I offer a private, relaxing environment where we can meet and work together. Alternatively I am a qualified on line counsellor, able to work with you through e mail or on line "live" counselling.

I will always put you at the centre of my work, offering flexible appointment times including evenings and weekends. My aim is to help you thrive again.

I am experienced at helping individuals and couples who are struggling with relationship issues; anxiety and depression, anger; and communication problems within a relationship.

You can find out more about me and my practice by going to my website at www.thrivingivy.com (click through at the top of this page). Or you can phone or email me and we can talk it through before you make any commitment - its a big decision and choosing a therapist can be bewildering.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,
Judith

If you are looking for a mix of coaching and counselling work, please let me know when you make first contact.
In this situation we will need to build a "bespoke programme" and the format of our meetings may be slightly different.
If this is your preference, we will work on the detail at our initial session.
Costs may vary for a bespoke programme, but are negotiable.

Therapies Offered

Fees

I charge £33 for a 60 minute face to face session; fees for multiple sessions can be discussed with me.

For couple counselling I charge £45 for a 60 minute face to face session.

Fees for e mail counselling are usually similar to face to face counselling, and will be built around your needs- an individual programme will be designed for you.

If you wish to have some coaching techniques included in your counselling and therapy, my fees are slightly higher to reflect the increased preparation I will do for our session work.

Further Information

Many people feel some anxiety when seeking help. Often the most difficult part is making the first call or sending the first e mail.
I will do all that I can to put you at your ease, answering any questions that you have. I'll also be honest if I don't think I am the right counsellor for you. All conversations and e mails take place in strictest confidence, and are not seen or read by another.
The first session is an opportunity to meet each other. Its important that you feel at ease with your counsellor, so there is no pressure to book a series of appointments. Towards the end of the introductory session we can discuss what you would like to do next.
If you do decide that you would like to continue working with me, we would then agree on a regular time and day which is convenient to us both.
Hopefully, all this tells you a bit more about me - now its your turn! When you are ready, call me on 07951 103917 or e mail me: judith@thrivingivy.com.
