Profile

I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor and trained at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust, an ever growing transpersonal organisation.

In my work, I use both my psychological and spiritual understanding and experience to perceive the individual in an intuitive way rather than make definitive interpretations.
Such work requires the building of a therapeutic relationship between the client and myself. From this, it becomes possible for you to embark on a safe exploration so that you may learn to reflect on your responses to life's events and how you relate to to yourself and others.

The aim of Psychosynthesis counselling is to facilitate the transformation of the conflicts and obstacles that block the harmonious development of the individual. Indeed, suffering and distress often arise as a result of living our lives according to outmoded patterns of thinking and behaving.

I will seek to help you identify and transform such obstacles as a way of moving towards your deeper Self and highest potential. To assist this exploration, I will sometimes invite techniques - imagery, dreamwork, role-play, meditation or drawing - which can harness the potential for healing and thus help restore meaning and purpose in your life.
My approach is therefore greatly influenced by the Psychosynthesis holistic model which is designed to include all aspects of the individual combining psychological/physical/spiritual concerns in a creative approach to personal growth.
An initial session will be an opportunity to discuss what you would like to explore and hope to achieve as well as being an opportunity for us to meet and see if we could work together.
