If you are worried, sad, angry or full of anxiety and would like to talk through these feelings with someone then do contact me. I am an experienced therapeutic counsellor offering counselling to adults and young people in the Herts and South Bucks area.
I offer short-term or long-term confidential counselling in a safe environment which enables you to talk about what is affecting your life and making you feel sad, anxious and distressed or maybe angry, bewildered and feeling that it is too much to manage on your own.
I can help you to explore areas in your life which are difficult to manage such as relationships, living as a couple or with others, dealing with children, elderly parents, work issues and financial problems. I also have considerable experience in counselling adults whose own school days have left them with feelings of anger or inadequacy and who cannot seem to shake off these memories.
Sometimes we feel exposed, as though we are being looked at by everyone and we can feel vulnerable and ashamed. Others seem to have everything and we have nothing. This can lead to us feeling that we have no place and no rights. Imagine driving a car and feeling that you have to give everyone the right of way. That can leave you feeling very trapped and unable to make your own move.
There are also feelings of disconnection and detachment which can leave you feeling isolated and alone even within a relationship. In sessions we can work on becoming more connected with people we know as well as with the world outside.
Many of us have issues with how we were brought up and how we now continue to deal with aspects of our lives. These patterns often feel as though they are set in stone and that we cannot change them. In our sessions we will look for ways in which we can alter these patterns in order to make life more fulfilling and liberating.
The idea is to set a regular weekly time in which you can explore your feelings, what they may mean and where they are coming from so that together, we can try to make sense of them.
