I am a BACP registered counsellor and offer face to face counselling at my own premises in the stourbridge area.

I also offer telephone counselling anywhere within the united kingdom and home visits within the West Midlands at no extra cost. This offers my clients a more modern, convenient and flexible way of accessing counselling.

I also offer the first session absolutely free* with no obligation on your part to continue thereafter.

I work with individuals, couples and families, and all presenting issues are considered.

I have a friendly but professional approach and I pride myself in creating a warm and safe place, which my clients have often said through feedback (see website: freespirit-counselling.co.uk), has helped them to open up.

I also work with students that require personal therapy as part of their formal training and offer a special student rate with a further discount available for sessions that are paid for in advance as a block booking*.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I am trained to level four diploma in the theory & practice of counselling and I am also trained with Cruse bereavement care.

I have over seven years experience of working within the NHS both in nursing and as a counsellor, and I have worked with all ages, race, gender and sexual orientation.

I also work with male and female clients that have experienced domestic violence, and I also work with the perpetrators.

Fees

My normal fee's are £50 per each individual session.

However, in recognition of the increasing financial pressures caused by the credit crunch,

I have temporarily reduced the price to £25 with a sliding scale for those on a low income.

Home visits are charged at £20 per session and telephone counselling has been reduced to £15.

I also have a limited number of free slots that are available for clients that have no income and these are given on a first come first served basis*


Home visits and telephone counselling are also offered with the first session absolutely free and there is no obligation on your part to continue thereafter.

Student rates are charged at £15 per each individual session and a further discount is available to all clients that pay for counselling as block bookings.

There are also a limited number of free sessions for clients with no incomes*.

I receive regular CRB checks for your peace of mind and I am happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have free of charge with no obligation on your part to undertake counselling with my service.

I also offer a unique service for individuals, students & couples that prefer to pay for their sessions as a block booking (to take advantage of the discount on offer*) but would also like the flexability of being able to spread their sessions over a longer period of time.
This would come in the form of credits*, which can be used whenever you feel you would benefit most from counselling. There are no time limits and no hidden catch. This is because I can appreciate that some days are better than others, and so it would therefore follow that in traditional therapy, some sessions might be more productive than others. Certainly, from trial runs, many of my clients have stated that this option has helped them to maximise the effectiveness of their therapy without the need of attending therapy week in and week out when sometimes they rather they could save their sessions for when they really needed them.
