Covering Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire & Cheshire. I offer a therapeutic comfortable place (wheelchair accessible), to enable you to explore your problem. A 'Humanistic' Counsellor, I offer evening appointments - invaluable for those juggling work commitments - as well as daytime availability for those with more flexibility.

I will work to understand your experience from your point of view and will value you as a person. At the same time I aim to be open and genuine with you, meaning I will share with you what I am thinking and I will ask you if I don’t understand.     I have special interest, knowledge & awarenesss of the following issues: the effects of separation, mediation, divorce, family breakup and similar family issues, and parents living apart from their children.
    I am co-founder of the charitable organisation Maypole (www.maypole.org).
    In addition, my MSc research thesis explored 'The experiences of women living apart from their children'. My undergraduate thesis,a discourse analysis on the subject of Body Image - explored 'How Women in 21st Century Britain Construct, Represent and Discuss Body Image'
    I have a keen interest in Narrative ways of working and the use of mental imagery to assist self expression.

    Evening 5pm - 8pm £37.50
    Saturday 9am -12pm £40.00

    Same sex couples welcome.

    Evening (after 5pm) £60.00

    ‘I don’t trust anyone,’ ‘I’m embarrassed or afraid ...you will think I am being silly’
    ‘I want to be distracted from my thoughts’, ‘I’ve never told anyone before', ‘I’m so hurt....angry... scared...'

    How you might feel during your therapy...
    You may feel a sense of relief when you notice that you are being listened to carefully and your feelings are being taken seriously. You might feel surprised and relieved when you realise emotions inside you, but all these feelings are ok. I am here to support you and to help you find your answers.
    I hope that by the time you end your therapy you will feel much more yourself, are able to fully function without feelings of hurt anger guilt or sadness. That the feelings you leave with are feelings you are content to own.
