Profile

I am an Integrative and Transpersonal Psychotherapist and Counsellor, experienced and able to work with a wide range of issues and symptoms from relationship problems, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, poor body-image, anxiety, work stress and depression.

In an empathic and confidential space you can explore issues, finding support and facilitation through difficult and stressful times, to find peace of mind, resolution, integration and a renewed sense of self and life purpose.

Working with Body awareness provides an enormous resource for whole-healing, and working with the body can range from breath exercises and visualisation to movement, drama and voice. However, what is most important is how we get on, as the relationship between therapist and client is a key agent for change and there is no way of defining this without actually meeting. During an initial assessment you and I can get a sense of whether we will be able to work together.

Counselling is usually short-term and focuses on a particular issue; while Psychotherapy is generally longer-lasting allowing for further exploration of more deep seated issues and their origins.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE)London, and have been registered with the UKCP since 2005.

In 2007 I became a staff member of CCPE as a supervisor and facilitator on the diploma course. I completed their Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy in 2008 which involved the study of dreams, psychological alchemy and the spiritual dimension of psychotherapy.

In 2010 I completed a course in 'The use of Drama & Movement in Therapy' with the Sesame Institute UK & International, and was guest editor of the Sesame journal, and contributed an article on bringing movement and drama into therapy in 2010.
