I am experienced with working with a range of issues and symptoms from relationship problems, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, poor body-image, anxiety, work stress and depression. As an Integrative and Transpersonal psychotherapist and counsellor, my approach is to see each client and the issues they bring individually, rather than through the lens of one approach in particular. But I draw on Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Transpersonal and Archetypal approaches.
My practice incorporates working with the body, with body awareness, mindfulness and breath exercises, helping to integrate feelings, release blocked energy, so creating space for new energy and self-expression.
The most important element in successful therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. This is a key agent for change and during an initial assessment you and I can get a sense of whether we will work well together.
Counselling is usually short-term and focuses on a particular issue; while psychotherapy is generally longer-lasting allowing for further exploration of more deep seated issues and their origins.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold both a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) London, and registered with the UKCP.

As a staff member of Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education I facilitate students on the diploma course and am part of the clinical assessment team.
