Profile
I offer Play Therapy (counselling) to children throughout the Cambridgeshire area. I am a Certified Play Therapist and have worked with children for over 20 years in many different capacities including fostering, education and play work. My therapeutic approach is both professional and human and I have a natural affinity with children.
Play Therapy enables children to express their feelings in a safe environment, to work through things that are bothering them and to make sense of their life experiences. My work aims to enable children to acknowledge their feelings in a constructive way and give them strategies for coping with the difficulties they face. I work with art materials including paint and clay, musical instruments, puppets, drama, creative visualisation, relaxation and sand tray and small world figures.
I am supported by a qualified supervisor in my work, I hold a clear CRB enhanced disclosure and professional liability insurance.
