Profile

I am an experienced counsellor and UKCP registered psychotherapist. I trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with the Philadelphia Association in London. My background is in the Arts therapies. I have worked for the NHS in Cambridge and also as a Senior Adult Psychotherapist in the NHS in Lincoln. My current private psychotherapy practice is in Cambridge and London.

My approach is to actively engage in helping people to articulate their distress and to focus on the particular nature of the difficulties that they are bringing. This may be to help bring to words what might feel wordless or unable to be easily spoken about. It may also be to uncover and make accessible the feelings that are locked away and need to be expressed in the safe and holding environment of the consulting room. Through a process of a ‘healing’ conversation clients are released to look towards a more creative and happier way of being in relationship with others and the world they live in.

Member of the Philadelphia Association, London. Completed psychotherapy training in 1997
UKCP registered and a member of the HPC ( Health Professions Council)
Post Graduate Diploma in Music Therapy (1984)

Sliding scale between £38 - £45
Reduced rates are sometimes available for low income clients.
