A Therapist for 15 years, my main areas of expertise are relationships sexuality and eating disorders. I am particularly interested in the impact of outside circumstances which impact on the family system. I trained as a Relationship Therapist in 1995. I qualified as a Psychosexual therapist in 2000 and am now accredited with the British Association of Sexual and Relationship Therapists. I completed my training in Interpersonal Therapy in 2005. I have an interest in Eating Disorders, and have worked with a variety of clients over the past 3 years on both an inpatient and daycare basis. I gained my Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders in 2007. I have extensive experience of group work in a variety of settings focusing on a wide range of issues. I have a Private Practice in Penwortham near Preston, Lancashire where I see a variety of clients on an individual and couple basis. In addition to my private practice I currently work on a self employed basis for 2 private hospitals in Lancashire and Cheshire, and having qualified as a Supervisor I offer supervision to other counselling practitioners.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
15 years Experience. Certificate in Relationship Therapy, Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy, Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision, Master Practitioner Eating Disorders, Diploma Interpersonal Therapy. Many other Continuing Professional Development Courses including working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence in relationships, anger management, counselling and mental health, addictive behaviour (including substance abuse, alcohol abuse and sexual addiction). I am also about to to embark on training in Schema Therapy.

Fees
I charge £40 for individuals (50 minute session), £60 for couples (50 minute session) and £60 for supervision (1.5 hours)
Further Information
I am willing to see clients in their own home if there are mobility issues. Only if a suitable uninterrupted space can be provided for therapy to take place in. I charge an additional 40 pence per mile for travel if this is the case.
