About me

About me
I am a professionally qualified and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, with 16 years experience, providing individual and couple counselling, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), on a short-term and long-term basis in an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Sessions take place in a caring and professional environment, which is sufficiently challenging to effect change. Working together we can help you gain better understanding of yourself, to overcome obstacles in your life, and reach your goals.

My expertise
I work with people on a wide range of issues. My expertise lies in the areas of: anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, depression, anger management, stress, compulsive lying and sexual identity.

My approach to counselling/psychotherapy
There are a number of different approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. I work primarily using CBT, Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which all have a strong evidence base. The quality of the therapeutic relationship contributes to a positive outcome in counselling, which is very important in my work.

I offer a non-judgemental approach, without discrimination on such grounds as sex, race, religion, class, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.
