Profile
I have 12 years experience as a qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I work from my private practice near the town center in Loughborough. I also travel outreach for those clients who are finding it difficult to leave their homes.
I adhere by the BACP ethical framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I also offer clinical supervision for trainee counsellors, qualified counsellors/psychotherapists, Youth workers and employees working in educational settings and in voluntary organizations.
It takes courage to seek counselling for the very first time but it is also a step forward towards a positive change.
It is a part of our human nature and we all need the experience of being in meaningfull relationships. Sometimes these relationships are difficult to develope and maintain leaving us frustrated and confused. Sometimes these relationships breakdown and we end up feeling very alone.
Counselling can provide a relationship and a safe place to explore issues from the past and the present. Changing how we think can change both how we behave and our emotional experience. This in turn can help you to make positive choices and life changing decisions towards a more healthier way of being.
The counselling I offer can be open ended or short term where the client is supported over 4 to 6 weeks on focussing and goal setting to achieve positive outcomes.
