Profile

I am an integratively trained counsellor based in Horley. My approach is basically person centred which creates a non-judgmental, safe and confidential setting to talk about your problems and to help to turn them into opportunities to grow stronger and live a more fulfilling life.

Most of us will struggle at times in some area of our life. Our past experiences can shape the way we respond to current situations leading to problems such as anxiety, stress, depression, anger issues, low self esteem, loneliness and relationship problems . Or it could be that you are having difficulty in coming to terms with loss of a loved one, redundancy or divorce. Counselling provides a space in which to explore these issues enabling you to acknowledge the impact of events, either current or past, recognise the emotions that these have caused and consequently understand any response. In doing this a person is able to find their own inner resources to bring about change and to live a more healthy and significant life.

I have run my own practice for the last 4 years and prior to this worked in an agency setting.  I also currently work in a voluntary capacity in the counselling dept of a local non-surgical hospital.

Member of BACP and adhere to their code of practice and ethics. In line with all qualified counsellors I undertake regular monthly supervision.

I am committed to continued professional development through attending further training and development at Chichester University.
