Profile
I have been counselling as a qualified counsellor for a period of ten years. My original experience of this type of work began in 1987 when I worked for a number of years as a counsellor for the Samaritans based in the Greater Manchester area. During that time I worked with issues of abuse, extreme states, addiction, crisis and relationship conflicts. Since then I have become qualified as a counsellor and have achieved a Diploma in Advanced Counselling. I have completed four years of Clinical Training as a Psychotherapist (Transactional Analyst).
I continue to study and during the last few years I have trained and become qualified as a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). I am based in the Torbay area, and practice as a Psychotherapist and supervisor working with individuals, couples and groups. I also currently hold a Diploma in Clinical Supervision, and supervise trainees and also counsellors working in GP settings and private practice. I have taught and co-facilitated the B.A.C.P. accredited diploma-level counselling course at The Iron Mill Centre, Nr Truro, Cornwall and deliver training in corporate settings.
I have worked in conjunction with a psychiatric team in the capacity of a psychotherapist at Torbay General Hospital, and am currently contracted by Torbay Social Services and the Devon and Cornwall Police as a Psychotherapist.
In accordance with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy criteria for the maintenance of my Accredited status I regularly attend workshops and seminars, and undertake regular Supervision of my practice
I am also a member of the International Transactional Analysis Association
I work with individuals, Couples and Families. I offer Counselling, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I have recently written a book on the subject of Panic attacks and this work is in the process of being published.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I have been counselling as a qualified counsellor for a period of ten years. My qualifications are: Bachelor of Science with Honours, Advanced Diploma in Counselling, Diploma in Clinical Supervision, Certificate of Completion of 4 yrs of Advanced Training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, NLP Master Practitioner, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Certificate in Hypnotherapy, Energy Based Meridian Psychotherapy Levels I & II.

I work on the following days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
My first session begins at 8.00 am and my final session begins at 5.00 pm
My Fees are £50 per session
