Calm Farm is a Community Interest Company & is based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.
We provide counselling, hypnotherapy, life-coaching, counselling training, health & well-being workshops including Mindfulness & confidence building programmes for children & a whole range of other sensory, creative & therapeutic services for younger children across East Sussex.
Counselling for adults & couples can help you explore and work through many different issues such as relationships issues, post natal depression, addictions, bereavement, problems at work or college, stress, anxiety, depression, coping with traumatic experiences, abuse, bullying, sexual problems, managing emotional or physical pain, loneliness & isolation, confidence problems & many more. It is a process where you (the client) can talk in confidence about issues that are concerning you, with the skilled attention of a counsellor, in a safe supportive environment.
Counselling for older children & young people can help children & young people achieve in their lives, develop new confidence & gain a greater sense of well-being. We have therapists that specialise in anger management & can use a range of different therapeutic methods to engage children & young people & help them to open up & overcome blocks in a safe and confidential environment.
Play/Art therapy for young children can take on many different forms which will encourage the therapeutic process in a more relaxed, creative & nonintrusive way. It is generally used with children aged 3 through 11 and provides a way for them to express their experiences & feelings through a natural, self-guided, self-healing process. As children's experiences & knowledge are often communicated through play, it becomes an important vehicle for them to know and accept themselves and others. This approach is common to young children.
Some of the therapeutic tools that are often used in play therapy are:
Our skilled therapists can work with the child or young person individually or provide therapy for the family. If you are a parent or guardian please phone our centre to talk to an advisor.
We offer short and longer term one to one counselling which is available on a sliding scale of fees, depending on affordability. Please contact us to book an initial appointment.
